International Women's Day 2020
Gwynedd Council is supporting International Women’s Day
This year’s theme is equality, under the hashtag #EachforEqual. Collectively, we can make change happen. Collectively, we can each help to create a gender equal world. Gender equality is essential for economies and communities to thrive.
People all over the world are showing their support by striking the #EachforEqual pose with their arms to motivate others and to make International Women's Day YOUR day.
International Women's Day is a worldwide event with a human rights theme, highlighting the social, economic, cultural and political achievements and contributions made by women. The first International Women's Day occurred in 1911, supported by over one million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group or organization specific.
