Taster sessions at Caernarfon Archives
If you’ve ever thought of visiting Caernarfon’s Archives, here’s your chance.
Gwynedd Council’s Caernarfon Record Office is offering an opportunity to see what is kept at the Archives and how to go about searching for the content by hosting a taster session on Saturday, 23 November 2019.
As part of the taster session, there will also be an opportunity to tour the building to see how the collections are kept and preserved.
Councillor Gareth Thomas, Gwynedd Council Cabinet Member who leads on the matter said:
“Gwynedd’s archives contain many interesting documents, why not come along to see what it has to offer you?
“The taster sessions offer an opportunity to connect with the area’s history and culture. I would encourage anyone who is interested in local history to book a place, everyone is more than welcome.”
The Welsh medium session will be held at 10am-12pm and the English medium taster session will be held at 2pm- 4pm. You can book a place by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by phoning 01286 679 095.
