Success for Gwynedd and Ynys Môn Brass Band
Gwynedd and Môn Senior Brass Band, who are part of Gwynedd and Môn Music Service groups and activities, achieved success in a competition that was recently held for bands throughout Britain.
The Gwynedd and Môn Brass Band conducted by Mr Dylan Williams came third and were awarded the Gold Award at the British Brass Bands Championship held at Warwick. 15 other rival bands from across Britain competed in this section.
The band members include pupils between 13 and 18 who receive musical instrument lessons in Gwynedd and Ynys Môn schools.
Gwynedd a Môn Schools Music service are extremely proud of these young musicians and are very grateful to them all for their commitment during the busy revision period towards GCSE and A Level examinations. Two members travelled to Warwick late on Saturday after competing at the Wales Band Competition held in Swansea when the Ysgol Tryfan Jazz Band were awarded first prize. A special thank you to Mr Dylan Williams their conductor and to the tutors for their support.
