Joint Local Development Plan

On 31 July 2017 Gwynedd and Isle of Anglesey County Council adopted a Joint Local Development Plan. The LDP now forms the development plan for Gwynedd and Anglesey Local Planning Authority areas and will be the basis for decisions on land use planning in this area (excluding the Snowdonia National Park).

The LDP will be used by the Councils to guide and manage development, providing a basis by which planning applications will be determined and will supersede the previous adopted development plan framework namely:

  • Gwynedd Structure Plan (1993),
  • Ynys Môn Local Plan (1996),
  • Stopped Unitary Development Plan (2005)
  • and the Gwynedd Unitary Development Plan (2008).
