Notice of Election: Dwyfor Meirionnydd Constituency

Parliamentary Election for the Dwyfor Meirionnydd Constituency

 

1. An election is to be held for a Member to serve in Parliament for the above Constituency.

2. Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Acting Returning Officer, Council Offices, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, LL55 1SH between 10am and 4pm.

3. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Acting Returning Officer, Council Offices, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, LL55 1SH on any working day after 8 November 2019 between 10am and 4pm but no later than: 4pm Thursday, 14 November 2019.

4. A deposit of £500 for each candidate must be paid either in cash or bankers draft (banks operating in the United Kingdom only). Bankers drafts should be made payable to 'Gwynedd Council'.

5. If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 12 December 2019.

6. Applications to be added to the register of electors in order to vote at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer, Gwynedd Council, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, LL55 1SH by Tuesday, 26 November 2019. Applications can be made online.

7. Applications, amendments or cancellations of new and existing postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer, Gwynedd Council, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, LL55 1SH by 5pm Tuesday, 26 November 2019.

8. Applications to vote by proxy on the grounds of a medical condition, illness, disability or if their occupation, service or employment means they cannot go to a polling station after 5pm Wednesday, 4 December 2019, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer, Gwynedd Council, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, LL55 1SH by 5pm Thursday, 12 December 2019
