Food and nutrition
The Council coordinates the Gwynedd Food and Nutrition Forum, working in partnership with third sector organisations to promote opportunities for Gwynedd’s citizens to gain access to fresh, local food.
The Council, in conjunction with Betsi Cadwaladr Trust, offers Agored Cymru Level 2 training to third sector organisations and Council staff so that they have the correct information on nutrition to convey to Gwynedd’s citizens.
Vending machines in leisure centres now offer healthier food choices, and the Council’s residential homes ensure high nutritional standards.
