Applicant: BANGOR UNIVERSITY

Project summary: The plan will transform an area in Parc y Coleg, Bangor, which is currently unwelcoming, into a quiet place to enjoy and experience nature. This is achieved by establishing nature trails within the woodland and scrub and developing the wetland for animals and plants. Educational boards will be installed and electronic information links summarizing what people can see.

Applicant: CWMNI’R FRÂN WEN

Project summary: A large-scale community arts and cultural project will take place in Bangor over an extended period of 20 months. There will be a program of co-creation and collaboration through creative means with the residents and communities of the city, which will end with an epic multi-arts event that will celebrate Bangor's unique identity and share it with the world.

Project summary: The Town Centre regeneration programme includes several schemes aimed at laying a foundation for future investment and pride.  The project will raise the standard of our towns' facilities and basic services, and include improving community safety, street signage and furniture, marketing campaigns, business support, and schemes to support the creative sector.

Project summary:
The aim of the project is to ensure the greatest possible benefits and opportunities for residents, businesses and communities across North Wales through investments that align with the Growth Vision including the North Wales Growth Deal.

Applicant: BANGOR UNIVERSITY

Project summary: The plan will develop the Llŷn Ecomuseum scheme that has existed since 2015, by working together to promote specific sites and resources in the Llŷn peninsula.  It will develop activities related to the archaeology, biodiversity, and the culture of the area.

Project summary: A plan to support people to be more active on a regular basis. The project will work together with the community in 2-3 locations that have the greatest need for support in Gwynedd, to develop skills and confidence to find sustainable solutions for the good of the community in the long term.

Project summary: The project will work in partnership with Cymunedoli Cyf (Gwynedd Social Enterprise Network) on various schemes that create community resilience, and create community solutions to challenges facing Gwynedd, placing emphasis on geographical areas without current provision.

Applicant: CYMDEITHAS ERYRI SNOWDONIA SOCIETY
Total UKSPF Gwynedd funding: £249,940          
Project summary: A scheme to provide, develop and grow a programme of practical conservation work and training with volunteers in Eryri and the surrounding area. We will work closely with partners to ensure that work is in line with strategic plans and priorities to ensure maximum value for the volunteers' hard work. It will include elements such as: path maintenance, invasive weed control, litter clearance, tree planting and conservation work.

Project summary: Complete two elements of a wider project to develop a community enterprise in Tŷ'n Llan, Llandwrog:

• The kitchen – demolish the old structure and build a new purpose-built kitchen in its place
• refurbish 5 visitor rooms on the first floor which is currently a shell. The rooms will be designed to promote and interpret elements of the area's history and heritage.

Project summary: The project will support people and build community resilience by:

• establishing hubs in communities for people to access help with living costs, services, and activities locally
• provide support to improve digital skills, numeracy and financial skills in workshops, group sessions or individual sessions
• providing IT equipment and connectivity to ensure the inclusion of people
• create volunteering opportunities for specific groups of people who find it difficult to find a suitable placement for their needs 

Applicant: ADRA (TAI) CYFYNGEDIG
Total UKSPF Gwynedd funding: £300,000
Project summary: The project will employ a team of Energy Wardens to encourage residents across Gwynedd to reduce their energy use and increase reusing and recycling levels to reduce waste. Energy efficiency measures will also be installed at several local community centres, which will demonstrate good practice to members of the wider community.

Applicant: ABERDYFI COMMUNITY PROJECTS LTD

Project summary: The plan will facilitate bringing the Penrhos Garage building and the Post Office in Aberdyfi into community ownership. This will enable the continuation of local services, protect jobs, create new workshop space, and develop two flats for local people.

Applicant: SIOP GRIFFITHS CYF 
Total UKSPF Gwynedd funding:  £ 299,960
Project summary: A scheme for community transport provision in partnership with social enterprises - namely Siop Griffiths, Ogwen Partnership, Y Dref Werdd, and O Ddrws I Ddrws. A coordinator will develop cooperation between the areas, to take advantage of the electric vehicles the enterprises already own.

Project summary: A competitive grant fund that will be a means of supporting local organisations, including initiatives and regeneration groups, to be able to lead and develop projects that respond to local needs and priorities.

The Fund consists of three different levels of grants - Capital and Revenue between £25k and £200k, Revenue between £25k and £75k and small grants under £25k. There was an open call during June and July 2023 for enterprises across Gwynedd to submit grant applications for the development of regeneration projects within their communities. Applications were received totalling over £5 million.
Community Regeneration Support Fund

Project summary: The project aims to promote culture and heritage, physical well-being and healthy living, and develop a sustainable visitor economy. The Diwyllesiant program is delivered as a cross-service project within Cyngor Gwynedd, which aims to operate across three priority areas - Culture and Heritage, Healthy and Active Living, and the Sustainable Visitor Economy – for the benefit of, and to support the well-being of Gwynedd residents, communities, businesses, and environment. 

The Fund includes three strands available to non-profit organisations and enterprises in Gwynedd. £350k has been allocated for the Culture and Heritage Fund, and £250k each allocated for the Events Fund and the Healthy and Active Living Fund.

Total UKSPF Gwynedd funding: £1,500,000 
Project summary: The Fund offers funding opportunities of between £2k and £250k to voluntary or community groups located in Gwynedd.  A wide variety of groups and projects will present different activities with a cross section of communities/people benefiting. 

There was an open call during September 2023 for enterprises across Gwynedd to submit grant applications, and applications totalling over £4.9 million were received.
