Managment and Registration
New Managment Induction Framework
Since September 2021 it is a requirment for Social Care Managers to complete an inducation programme - induction framework
The All Wales Induction Framework for Social Care Managers (Induction Framework) is a set of standards derived from the content of Level 5 Health and Social Care Leadership and Management qualification. It explains the knowledge and practice that should be demonstrated, over time, by social care managers who are new to their role.
It should be completed by all social care managers new to their role as a general induction to their role. We recommend that all managers complete it within 12 months of starting a new role. This will provide an opportunity to embed your learning into your practice and update knowledge of legislative frameworks, evidence-based practice and specialist areas.

Handbook: Principles and values of health and social care (adults)
The purpose of this booklet is to provide assistance to social care workers undertaking the Social Care Wales Principles and Values Award (adults). The handbook has been developed by social care practitioners for members of Social Care Workforce Development Partnerships.
Each section of the handbook accompanies each part of the award and contains the relevant information and references needed to undertake the award successfully.
The handbook is a help guide that can be used in conjunction with other materials that managers have developed to support teaching for social care staff.
Codes of Professional Practice
Registrants and their employers should ensure that they are familiar with the guidelines relevant to their area of work. Serious or persistent failure to follow practice guidelines can put an employee's registration at risk.
