Learners experience 

Here are three videos ‘Learning and Enjoying Welsh’ about the experiences of some Welsh learners: 

Alex is a mountain biker who also runs a Holiday cottage. He learnt Welsh to be able to engage with  local community around Y Bala which by now he feels an integral part of. 

 

Carrie runs a successful cheese making company called ‘Cosyn Cymru’ in Bethesda. She learnt Welsh to support her young son’s education and by now uses it in her everyday life as well as at work.

Ann, originally from Birmingham, learnt Welsh many years ago. For the last 10 years she’s been a Welsh language tutor teaching Welsh to adults.

 

Learning Welsh

There are numerous Welsh lesson providers:

The National Welsh Language Centre, that offers courses to adults, groups and families at Nant Gwrtheyrn or ‘Nant’ as it’s called colloqually. It’s a magical place located in a former mining village on the northern coast of the Llŷn peninsula in north Wales. 

Dysgu Cymraeg/Learn Welsh offers Welsh lessions in various styles:

In 2021 Welsh was one of the most popular languages on the world reknowned ap Duolingo. Why not join the many thousands of people who are curently learning the language?
