Gwynedd Council arranges and administrates citizenship ceremonies in Gwynedd on behalf of the Home Office.  The citizenship ceremony is the final part of the application process to become a British citizen. 

All applicants aged 18 or over who have applied to become a British citizen must take an oath at a citizenship ceremony within 3 months of their application of becoming a British citizen being approved. 

 

How to apply to become a British citizen?

How to arrange a citizenship ceremony?

If you live in Gwynedd and receive a letter from the Home Office advising you that you need to arrange a citizenship ceremony, call us on: 01766 771000.

 

When are citizenship ceremonies held in Gwynedd?
