Terms and Conditions – Resident Parking Permit
The Resident Parking Permit applicant must live at one of the addresses listed on
www.gwynedd.llyw.cymru/residentparkingpermit
To confirm that the Permit Holder applicant lives at the address we will be checking the details provided against the full electoral register. We may ask for further evidence if the name / address provided does not match the information held by us.
It is only possible to purchase two permits for addresses at St. Peter’s Terrace Pwllheli and Tre Gof Caernarfon. A second permit will cost £90.
The permit will only be valid for 12 months or for the period of the Traffic Regulation Order. The start and end date will be printed on the permit.
The permit must be displayed in the windscreen of the vehicle, making sure that all the information is visible from the outside. Failure to display is an offence and you may be liable for a Penalty Charge Notice.
It is your responsibility to ensure you have a valid permit.
The permit only allows you to park your vehicle at the area stated on the permit and all vehicles must be parked parallel to the kerb.
The permit does not guarantee the holder a parking space or unrestricted right to a parking space.
The vehicle should not exceed 5.25m in length.
The Council is not liable for the theft or damage to any vehicle in a parking place, or the contents or fittings of any such vehicle.
The use of parking places may be suspended by police officers or duly authorised Council officers.
If you change your vehicle there will be a £10 administration fee to transfer your permit to the new vehicle and you must produce the new vehicle registration document, which must show your name and address.
If you damage your Resident Parking Permit Ticket there will be a fee of £10 to reprint and re-send your ticket.
If you lose your Resident Parking Permit there will be a fee of £20 to reprint and resend your ticket. 1
If you have a vehicle belonging to your employer you must produce a confirmation letter on company headed stationery stating that you are entitled to use the vehicle for business purposes.
You will be sent a reminder e-mail/letter when it’s time to renew your parking ticket. You can renew your ticket up to 28 days in advance.
In line with the Distance Selling Regulations, you have seven working days from receipt of these Terms and Conditions to cancel your order. You must return your parking ticket before a refund will be offered. After seven working days, no refunds will be given.
