Usually, Council meetings are held during office work hours. The Full Council (75 members) meetings are held in Siambr Dafydd Orwig Caernarfon. Other official meetings are held in the Council in Caernarfon, Dolgellau and Pwllheli with some meetings being held in the evening. A number of unofficial meetings are held through video conferencing between Caernarfon, Dolgellau and Pwllheli to save travelling time.
The meetings of the Full Council, the Planning Committee (when the meeting is held in Caernarfon) and any other committee that is likely to be of interest to the public, will be webcast. The meaning of webcasting is to broadcast video and sound on the internet. Cameras in the Council's chambers will record the live discussion and anyone who wishes to watch can do so by going on the Council's website.
A Councillor's attendance is recorded in every meeting and is placed on the Council's website. The website contains a name, a photo and contact details for every Councillor.
