Shared Prosperity Fund: North Wales

Wrexham County Borough Council, Flintshire County Council, Denbighshire County Council, Conwy County Borough Council, Cyngor Gwynedd and the Isle of Anglesey County Council working together and in partnership with Ambition North Wales have announced that organisations can now submit their initial applications for UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) funding in North Wales.

In December 2022, the UK Government confirmed that the North Wales region's application to access its UKSPF had been validated enabling access to the £126.46 million which has been allocated to the region until March 2025.

Since then, the region's six local authorities and Ambition North Wales have been working hard to put all the arrangements in place to enable organisations to bring their ideas which require funding forward.

Organisations seeking UKSPF funding of £250,000 or more to operate a project in one or more local authority areas in North Wales are now invited to present an outline application by midday on Friday, 24 February 2023.

b)     The UKSPF will be administered by Wrexham County Borough Council, Flintshire County Council, Denbighshire County Council, Conwy County Borough Council, Cyngor Gwynedd and the Isle of Anglesey County Council in North Wales working together and in partnership with Ambition North Wales.  Cyngor Gwynedd will be acting as lead authority behalf of the six Councils.
