Terms and conditions: recycling centre van permit
- A Van Permit must be obtained to access Gwynedd Council’s Recycling Centres for vehicles classified as N1 [Vehicles designed and constructed for the carriage of goods and having a maximum mass not exceeding 3,5 tonnes].
- If vehicles in the N1 category have windows and seats in the back a Permit is NOT needed.
- Gwynedd Council will use public information available from the DVLA to check the classification of your vehicle.
- You must have a residential address in Gwynedd to apply for a Van Permit.
- The Permit allows access to Gwynedd Council’s 8 Recycling Centres only. Gwynedd Council Recycling Centres
- The Permit allows the use of Gwynedd Council’s Recycling Centres for the disposal of domestic waste only.
- Gwynedd Council’s Recycling Centres cannot be used for the disposal of commercial waste. If you are suspected of disposing of commercial waste, Gwynedd Council will contact you and your Van Permit may be cancelled.
- A Van Permit allows a total of 18 visits to Gwynedd Council’s Recycling Centres within a 12 month period.
- The 12 month period starts on the day the Permit is applied for.
- The Permit will renew automatically at the end of the 12 month period.
- The Permit is non-transferable. If you change your van, and therefore have a new registration number, you must apply for a new 12 month Permit.
- A slot must be booked to access Gwynedd Council’s Recycling Centres with a Van Permit. Terms and Conditions: Book a slot at Gwynedd Council’s Recycling Centres
- Each Recycling Centre slot booking uses 1 visit on your Permit. If you do not use your slot booking, without cancelling the slot beforehand, it will use up 1 visit on your Permit. If you cancel your slot booking beforehand, no visits on your Permit will be used.
