Active travel

Active travel aims to ensure that walking and cycling become the normal choice for daily journeys, to improve personal Health, air quality and to make places more pleasant to live an work.

There are a number of paths that the Council maintain right across the county, including the Lonydd Glas recreational routes and other public footpaths.

As well as maintaining this extensive network of walking and cycling paths, we are trying to introduce new active travel routes to facilitate more active travel in our communities.

View details about the active travel paths that could be developed (dependent on finance).
